Nina West’s Drag Star Search

July 21, 2012, 9 pm

Axis Nightclub

This is a one-night-only contest. There will only be one winner, with one prize given out, $1,000. I want to see the best you have to offer.

To compete in Nina West’s Drag Star Search, there are no limitations. You can be an amateur just starting out or you could be the most decorated entertainer in the land. ALL ARE WELCOME TO COMPETE.

There are only 20 spaces available for competition.

Registration for Nina West’s Drag Star Search is $25, to made payable at time of submitting application. Make checks payable to: Nina West, LLC

For an application, please email superdragqueen@gmail.com. Applications, if sent by mail, must be postmarked by February 18, and received no later than February 23^rd.

CATEGORY

*Every contestant will come out and introduce themselves before the evening of competition begins. This portion of the evening is not judged, however, first impressions mean everything. You will need to introduce yourself, where you are from, and share something interesting about yourself with the judges.

The only judged category is TALENT. Contestants will have a total of 7 minutes for their talent. Contestants will also have a total of five (5) minutes for setup and breakdown of props (2.5 minutes each).

Talent will be judged on: Costume, Hair, Make-Up, the precision of whatever medium is used for talent (i.e. LIVE SINGING, LIP SYNCH, DANCE), and overall entertainment value.

Rules:

No water on stage
No live animals on stage
No use of fire or fire causing agents

Heels of Horror 4: The Cast of Nightmare on High Street

I am so excited to announce the cast of my upcoming Halloween show, Heels of Horror: A Nightmare On High Street. The cast features some of Columbus’ favorite entertainers, ready to scare you into the spirit of the season!

The cast of ghouls will feature the amazing talents of Virginia West, Maria Garrison, Freesia Balls, Candi Panties, Kari Kerning, Chutney Sinclair, and the Candy Corn Drops — Mark Bryan, Julie Hazlett, Jason Tanner, Lydia Feddern, and Jamie Sommer.

Nina! Heels of Horror IV: A Nightmare on High Street is sponsored by Miller/Coors, 3 Olives Vodka, Axis Nightclub, Union Cafe.

The show will play Axis Nightclub Friday, October 21 at 8 pm, Saturday, October 22 at 6pm and 10pm, Saturday, October 29 at 4 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday, October 30 at 8 pm. Doors will open one hour prior to each performance. Tables will be available for sale beginning September 12 at Union Cafe or by calling 614-421-2233. Tables will also be available for online purchase beginning September 15. You can also contact any cast member to purchase tables or receive any more information about the show!

In the spirit of Halloween, table seating has been divided in 5 comfortable areas– mezzanine, front row, booth seating, regular tables, and an all new SPLATTER ZONE!
